Ashfield Building Group’s outstanding credentials have been underlined once again following our appointment as a framework contractor for Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.
The Council has established a Rotherham Construction Partnership Framework of pre-qualified organisations who have the ability to provide a variety of services, including building works, structural repairs, roofing, demolition, mechanical and electrical installation and repairs, and fixed wire testing. The multi-million-pound framework provides a compliant procurement route which gives qualified suppliers the opportunity to tender for construction projects throughout the region. Ashfield have been appointed for a two-year period which commenced in May, with the option for the Council to extend into May 2021.
Ashfield Building Group Director, Joel Ramsden, said:
“Ashfield Building Group are delighted to secure this contract as part of the Rotherham Construction Partnership Framework. We are excited at the prospect of working on behalf of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council – their recent Rotherham Interchange refurbishment and forthcoming Town Centre Masterplan clearly demonstrate an impressive strategic vision for regeneration and renewal. We are looking forward to the opportunity to play a part in assisting that vision. There have been some very positive signs for Rotherham with the borough recently placed top in Yorkshire for economic growth according to recent research.”
“Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council apply stringent standards of quality in the procurement of their services and it is certainly a fine achievement for Ashfield to qualify for the Rotherham Construction Partnership Framework. This is the second framework contract which Ashfield have secured in the past three months. Both contracts reflect our company-wide investment in quality management, including the development and certification of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System in 2018. ISO 9001 provides internationally recognised credibility which gives Ashfield a clear competitive edge when tendering for large-scale and long-term framework contracts. We are currently working towards further qualifications with ISO 18001 & 45001 scheduled to be certificated in the next few months.”
