Ashfield Group are proud to announce the completion of an exceptional project in Ilkley, delivering an outstanding new home which combines the best in contemporary aesthetics and building performance.
We collaborated with Sense of Space, an award-winning architectural practice, to develop a two bedroom property which is an exemplar for highly sustainable, energy-efficient living. The project’s signature eco-friendly feature is an MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) system which provides fresh filtered air into the building whilst retaining most of the energy that has already been used in heating it. A range of other elements has been incorporated to reduce the carbon footprint, including photovoltaic panels and a proprietary green roof secured on powder-coated aluminium facias and trims.
Internally the property is beautifully appointed with hardwood flooring, bi-fold doors to both floors, highly specified kitchen and luxurious fittings to the bathroom and WC/cloakroom. Its contemporary interior is complemented with the use of natural external materials – including richly textured stone and timber cladding – which add a traditional twist to the modern appearance of the building. Full-height glazing and a glass Juliet balcony maximise the benefits of natural light.
