Ashfield Building Group (ABG) strives to provide our customers with a full range of building services.
We deliver buildings and spaces that enhance peoples’ environment, whether that’s for living, working or playing. We conduct business from our head office in Yeadon, near Leeds and operate in a geographic area embracing Leeds, Harrogate and parts of North Yorkshire but can travel further.
The prosperity and success of our business relies on a sustainable approach to best working practises. Our commitment to best practice in dealings with all stakeholders and an awareness of our potential impact on the environment, helps us to continually improve. We manage this by constantly researching and monitoring new techniques and technologies.
Staff & People
We are committed to the well-being and successful employment of our people. This embraces training and skills development. All employees are given regular and constructive feedback, so that each has a clear understanding of their role and opportunities. All team members are encouraged to provide feedback in order to improve their working environment, the efficiency of the company and continued success of the business.

Health & Safety
We aim to achieve and maintain a rigorous and best-in-class approach to health and safety by ensuring we provide a safe working environment for employees, contractors, customers, and all other visitors to our sites. All team members have completed a number of health and safety courses, ensuring their safety and that of others at all times.
Our health & safety policy and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure we are adopting and implementing the latest methods and best practice.
ABG is a member of the Federation of Master Builders and adheres fully to the FMB Code of Practice. The company is also accredited for its health and safety management under CHAS and the SMAS Worksafe Contractor certificate as a Principal Contractor.
We are aware of our environmental responsibilities and duties and look to instil this attitude and behaviour among all employees and contractors we work with. This includes taking appropriate steps to mitigate the impact of our operations on the environment. In doing so this ensures we implement procedures so that employees and contractors understand and share in these objectives, thereby helping to maintain and where possible improve our environmental performance.
The company is registered with the Environment Agency as an Upper Tier Carrier Dealer for the handling and disposal of waste.
We recognise and understand our relationships with and responsibilities to the local community in which we operate, and as appropriate, to the wider area. We aim to be a valued and respected part of the community by being sensitive to the needs of local residents and community groups; acting as a responsible neighbour.
