Ashfield’s site team have now completed the revitalisation of a stone-built period property, originally part of a row of terrace houses, with the creation of three stunning new apartments on behalf of developers, Vision Properties. Mesh Architects designed an all-embracing concept which required Ashfield to completely revamp the internal space, enhancing it to the performance standards of the latest Building Regulations, the specification levels of contemporary living and the aesthetic quality required to match this prime location, which is attractively situated near to the town centre.
The project required a full strip-out followed by changes to layouts and a comprehensive upgrade applied to windows, doors, internal woodwork, decorative detailing and finishes. Ashfield also incorporated new energy-efficient heating and lighting, beautiful new bathroom suites and fully fitted kitchens with a wide range of appliances including washing machines and dishwashers.
Featuring an apartment on each floor, the three-storey building combines modern interior design with its charming period character, including a distinctive arched window which sits above the main entrance and overlooks the communal stairwell. The window is one of various original features which have been restored to their former glory in tandem with the modernisation programme. A balcony to the top floor has also been refurbished.
Each apartment includes two double bedrooms and generous open-plan space flowing between kitchen, dining and living areas. The properties represent an exceptional opportunity for homebuyers and buy-to-let investors alike.
