Ashfield Group is joining forces with a new development partner following the launch of Ashfield Homes Ltd.
With private financial backing to purchase up to six sites per annum, Ashfield Homes is a new stand-alone company which is actively engaged with the regional industry to procure and secure land that fits its business model. The developer will focus on sites of between 3 and 15 units in size, delivering high quality bespoke homes designed in conjunction with award-winning architects and interior designers. Ashfield Homes has already identified suitable opportunities at various locations in Yorkshire with a view to commencing its first development in the second quarter of this year.
A privately-owned contractor which operates throughout the Yorkshire region, Ashfield Group will be one of Ashfield Homes’ key delivery partners for new build housing of circa £10m in Gross Development Value per annum. Ashfield Group has been established for over 20 years and is experienced in a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial and community construction projects.
As part of the model, Ashfield Homes has appointed Steve Secker as Chairman of the board to assist in the delivery of the company’s strategy. Steve has a wealth of experience gained from over 24 years at McCarthy & Stone, Britain’s leading retirement living developer, where he spent 13 years as Regional Managing Director in the North. Steve also chairs the York Property Forum and York Housing Association.
